Botox® Treatments to Combat Wrinkles and Facial Lines

Natural movements such as smiling, laughing or frowning, contract the muscles of your face. Over time, these movements produce permanent furrows and deep wrinkles in the skin, normally around the eyes and mouth, between the eyebrows, and on the forehead. These lines can make you look older, sad, angry or tired. BOTOX® Cosmetic can erase the marks of aging, leaving you looking younger and refreshed with Botox.

What can BOTOX® treatments do for me?

BOTOX® Cosmetic is and one of our most requested services. The procedure is quick, safe and its effects can last up to four months. BOTOX® reduces or eliminates facial lines and wrinkles by smoothing crow’s feet beneath the eyes, frown lines between the eyebrows, horizontal lines across the forehead, worry lines around the mouth, and lines on the neck.

How does BOTOX® Cosmetic work?

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to improve the look of the the moderate-to-severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines). BOTOX® blocks nerve impulses to the injected muscles. This reduces muscle activity that causes moderate to severe lines to form between the brows.

When will I see results from a BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment?

Within days, you may see a marked improvement in the moderate-to-severe frown lines between your brows. Lines continue to improve for up to 30 days, and results can last for up to 4 months. Individual results may vary.

What are the possible side effects of BOTOX® Cosmetic?

Dysport Protein Injection to Reduce Facial Lines and Wrinkles

Dysport® is an injectable treatment for wrinkles made from the same neurotoxin (botulinum toxin type A) as Botox®. Dysport® temporally treats the facial muscles between the eyebrows allowing you to still show you natural facial expressions.

How does Dysport® work?

Dysport® stops the signal from the nerve to the muscles, ultimately resulting in a reduction of muscle activity and temporarily preventing contraction of the muscles that cause frown lines.

How long does the treatment last?

Dysport®’s results begin to appear within one to seven days of treatment, with day three being the average. Dysport® contains less protein than BOTOX® Cosmetic, which means the body might break it down more slowly and the results may last longer. At a minimum, like BOTOX® Cosmetic, the results last up to four months.

What about side effects of Dysport®?

The most common side effects are nose and throat irritation, headache, injection site pain, injection site skin reaction, upper respiratory tract infection, eyelid swelling, eyelid drooping, sinus inflammation, and nausea. In some cases, Dysport® may cause serious side effects, such as swallowing or breathing problems, that may be life threatening.

How Does XEOMIN® Work?

Frown lines form when facial expressions are made as the muscle under the skin contracts.Over time, as your skin ages, these repeated expressions cause lasting frown lines. Neurotoxins, such as XEOMIN®, are prescription medications
that block the release of chemicals that cause these muscle contractions. So frown lines are softened.
